Head of School Search Committee  November, 8, 2023

Dear Drew Community, 

 

We are pleased to share an update on the next Head of School search at Drew. We received an overwhelming response to our Information for Candidates document, attracting numerous highly qualified candidates from diverse fields. After a rigorous evaluation, the Search Committee, in collaboration with Mary Seppala and Nat Conard from Educators Collaborative, narrowed the candidate pool to eleven semi-finalists. The Search Committee interviewed each semi-finalist, and four outstanding finalists were chosen. The four candidates were selected carefully and aligned with Drew’s mission, respect for our core beliefs, and an eye toward the future. We are confident you will be impressed with all the finalists.

 

We will be welcoming the finalists to campus beginning next week. Each finalist will visit campus for a two-day interview on the following dates: November 13-14, November 16-17, November 27-28, and November 30-December 1. During their visits, they will engage with various community members, including the faculty, staff, students, administrators, and Board of Trustees. We will hold two parent forums for each candidate:
  • November 13: 9:00-9:45 in-person, on-campus, and 4:45-5:15 PM by Zoom
  • November 16: 9:00-9:45 in-person, on-campus, and 4:30-5:00 PM by Zoom
  • November 27: 9:00-9:45 in-person, on-campus, and 4:45-5:15 PM by Zoom
  • November 30: 9:00-9:45 in-person, on-campus, and 4:45-5:15 PM by Zoom
We value your input and kindly request participation in the feedback surveys, the results of which will be shared with the Search Committee.
 
Approximately one day before each candidate visit, we will send a brief candidate dossier, the Zoom link, and a link to the feedback survey. The survey will be open for a limited time, so please complete the survey after interacting with the candidates. Your voice and feedback are critical to this process and shaping the future of Drew. Please plan to join us to meet the candidates and help us show them the vibrancy and community spirit of Drew. After all, as we evaluate them, they are also evaluating us!
